Board Compatator showing the Program Board which defines the inputs and output pins. ......This Tester started life as an idea sketeched on the back of an IBM Punch Card while waiting ...for a Century hard drive to complete its formating proceedure.

Board Comparator, which compares a good and bad board. Signals are sent to both boards on the input pins, and the comparator monitors the output pins. As soon as the outputs differ, the machine will halt, indicating which output pin failed. The operator now traces the fault using a logic probe and relavent schematic.
